Prayers

On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses, I offer myself soul and body to Thee, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Thy purity, the unerring keenness of Thy justice, and the might of Thy love. Thou art the Strength and Light of my soul. In Thee I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve Thee by unfaithfulness to grace, and I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against Thee. Mercifully guard my every thought, and grant that I may always watch for Thy light, listen to Thy voice and follow Thy gracious inspirations. I cling to Thee, give myself to Thee, and ask Thee by Thy compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced Feet of Jesus, looking at His Five Wounds, trusting in His Precious Blood, and adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart, I implore Thee Adorable Spirit, helper of my infirmity, so to keep me in Thy grace that I may never sin against Thee. Give me grace, O Holy Ghost, Spirit of the Father and the Son, to say to Thee always and everywhere, “Speak, Lord, for Thy servant heareth.” Amen.

Dear Holy Spirit, You are my friend. 

I give You myself. 

I ask You to dwell deep inside of me and make me holy. 

I want to know the fire of God’s love. 

I want to love God with all my heart. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit,
send down those beams,
which sweetly flow in silent streams
from Thy bright throne above.

O come, Thou Father of the poor;
O come, Thou source of all our store,
come, fill our hearts with love.

O Thou, of comforters the best,
O Thou, the soul’s delightful guest,
the pilgrim’s sweet relief.

Rest art Thou in our toil,
most sweet refreshment in the noonday heat;
and solace in our grief.

O blessed Light of life Thou art;
fill with Thy light the inmost heart
of those who hope in Thee. 

Without Thy Godhead nothing can,
have any price or worth in man,
nothing can harmless be.

Lord, wash our sinful stains away,
refresh from heaven our barren clay,
our wounds and bruises heal.

To Thy sweet yoke our stiff necks bow,
warm with Thy fire our hearts of snow,
our wandering feet recall. 

Grant to Thy faithful, dearest Lord,
whose only hope is Thy sure word,
the sevenfold gifts of grace. 

Grant us in life Thy grace that we,
in peace may die and ever be,
in joy before Thy face.

Oh, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul – I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your will.

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen.

1. O Holy Spirit, I humbly ask You, be with me always so that in all things, I may act under the influence of Your holy inspiration. Amen.
2. O Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your well-beloved Spouse.
3. O Holy Spirit, pour Your light into my heart, my soul, and my mind, and fill me with Your wisdom and understanding. Amen.
4. Assist me, O Holy Spirit, to live a holy life and to grow in goodness and grace. Amen.
5. Spirit of grace and prayer, enter our hearts. Spirit of love and truth, enter our hearts. Spirit of peace and meekness, enter our hearts. Spirit of modesty and innocence, enter our hearts. Spirit of counsel and fortitude, enter our hearts. Spirit of the fear of the Lord, enter our hearts.
6. Assist me, O Holy Spirit, in all my trials of life, enlighten me in my ignorance, advise me in my doubts, strengthen me in my weakness, help me in all my needs, protect me in temptations, and console me in afflictions. Amen.

Holy Spirit, Divine Counselor, I adore You as my true God, with God the Father and God the Son. I adore You and unite myself to the adoration You receive from the angels and saints.

I give You my heart, and I offer my ardent thanksgiving for all the grace that You never cease to bestow on me.

O Giver of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with such immense favors, I beg You to visit me with Your grace and Your love, and to grant me the gift of holy fear, so that it may act on me as a check to prevent me from falling back into my past sins, for which I beg pardon.

Grant me the gift of piety, so that I may serve You for the future with increased fervor, follow with more promptness Your holy inspirations, and observe Your divine precepts with greater fidelity.

Grant me the gift of knowledge, so that I may know the things of God and, enlightened by Your holy teaching, may walk, without deviation, in the path of eternal salvation.

Grant me the gift of fortitude, so that I may overcome courageously all the assaults of the devil, and all the dangers of this world that threaten the salvation of my soul.

Grant me the gift of counsel, so that I may choose what is more conducive to my spiritual advancement and may discover the wiles and snares of the tempter.

Grant me the gift of understanding, so that I may apprehend the divine mysteries and, by contemplation of heavenly things, detach my thoughts and affections from the vain things of this miserable world.

Grant me the gift of wisdom, so that I may rightly direct all my actions, referring them to God as my last end, and having loved Him and served Him in this life, I may have the happiness of possessing Him eternally in the next. Amen.

O Holy Spirit, we praise and worship You. O Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we praise You for Your boundless goodness and grace. Lord, sanctify our hearts from the malice of sin. Protect us from Satan and all evil spirits. Create in us a new heart, filled with holiness and purity. O Holy Spirit, set our hearts on fire with the love of God. Grant us the grace to serve You with purity of heart and body.
