Prayers

Lord Jesus, I know that every perfect gift, and especially that of chastity, depends on the power of Your providence. Without You, a mere creature can do nothing. Therefore, I beg You to defend by Your grace the chastity and purity of my body and soul. And if I have ever sensed or imagined anything that could stain my chastity and purity, blot it out, Supreme Lord of my powers, that I may advance with a pure heart in Your love and service, offering myself on the most pure altar of Your divinity all the days of my life. Amen.

Lord Jesus, I surrender all the wounds of the past relationship into Your Most Sacred Heart. Though I feel so empty and bewildered by what has happened, I lean on You for understanding. You are my rock, my sure help in times of trouble. I need You, Your love, and Your restoration to rekindle hope in my heart. Heal me, Jesus, of all the brokenness and set me free from all the bondages of the unhealthy relationship I had. All this I ask in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

God, my Heavenly Father, I commit into Your hands the Marriage Proposal that I am about to make. Bless, O Lord, that it may lead to the commencement of a beautiful life together—fully committed to Your love. I humbly surrender this act of mine and seek Your will to be fulfilled. In the name of Jesus, I ask that every plan and step I take toward this proposal be successful. Amen.

Abba Father, I pray to You for help and blessing as I prepare to be tested for fitness to drive. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to know thoroughly the rules of the road, so that no one will ever suffer from my negligence or incompetence. May I be ready for the test prescribed by law. May my efforts and preparations be supported by Your grace, so that I may deserve to be granted a license, and may I never abuse the trust that is placed in me. I make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

From all eternity, O Lord, You planned my very existence and my destiny. You wrapped me in Your love in baptism and gave me the Faith to lead me to an eternal life of happiness with You. You have showered me with Your graces, and You have been always ready with Your mercy and forgiveness when I have fallen. Now I beg You for the light I so earnestly need that I may find the way of life in which lies the best fulfillment of Your will. Whatever state this may be, give me the grace necessary to embrace it with love of Your holy will, as devotedly as Your Blessed Mother did Your will. I offer myself to You now, trusting in Your wisdom and love to direct me in working out my salvation and in helping others to know and come close to You, so that I may find my reward in union with You forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus, You know what I need even before I ask. I trust that You will guide me in finding the work I enjoy and taking the next step in my career. Open the doors to new opportunities, and equip me with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom. As I craft my resumé and, cover letters, submit my applications, connect with new companies and potential employers, and go on interviews, give me the words to speak, and the courage to share who I am and what I can do. Thank You for being with me every step of the way. Amen.

Our Father, You are so wonderful, and I worship You. You are the source of a river of love and grace that transforms the world. I offer You myself and my friends; our young hearts, minds, and bodies. Help us to grow in the goodness of Your kingdom. May we shine out in times of darkness, stand safely upon the truth and not be shaken, see Your vision for the world, and follow You. Come use our energy to care for the lost. Come take our creativity to meet with the broken-hearted, come use our youthfulness to bring joy and peace, and imbue Your hope to bring light to everyone. Amen.

Lord, each birthday is a joyful reminder of Your gift of life to us. We join _____ in celebrating this happy day and thanking You for the gift of life and the many blessings bestowed on him/her. Continue to bless and enfold _____ in Your love. Grant, O Lord, that _____ may experience strength in adversity, patience in suffering, and serenity in storms. Complete this work of Your love. Grant _____ fullness of life, the glorious freedom of Your children, and the joy and peace of Your kingdom. Amen.

In my pain and sorrow, I come to You Lord, because Your word says that You heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds. I cry to You right now from a heart that is broken. I know that You will save me from my distress. I pray that Your word will fill me. Help me to let go and be healed from the heartbreak that holds me down. Amen.

Heavenly Father, You know that the deepest desire of my heart is to meet the one with whom I can share my life. I trust in Your loving plan for me and ask that I might soon meet the person that You have prepared for me. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit, open my heart and mind to recognize my soul mate. I surrender my past, present, and future into the tender heart of Your Son, Jesus, with great confidence that my prayer will be heard and answered. Amen.

My Jesus, my Friend, walk with me today.
Hand in hand, guide me to learn and to know what is good.
Arm in arm, help me to grow in my faith and in love for others.
Side by side, stay by me to protect me and to show me Your ways.
Heart to heart, help me to pray and to be all that You want me to be.

Most holy and merciful Father, Your Son was crucified and stripped of His garments, in expiation for our sins, so that we may come to know You and love You. Receive my humble prayer for those living in sexual immorality and perversions. I offer You the humiliation Your only Son endured for their conversion. In Your great mercy, touch their lives and deliver them from the bondages of sin. I implore You, let Your Precious Blood fall on their hearts, so that they may repent and turn to You. Grant them the courage to change their lives according to Your holy will. Amen.

O Holy Spirit, we praise and worship You. O Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we praise You for Your boundless goodness and grace. Lord, sanctify our hearts from the malice of sin. Protect us from Satan and all evil spirits. Create in us a new heart, filled with holiness and purity. O Holy Spirit, set our hearts on fire with the love of God. Grant us the grace to serve You with purity of heart and body.
