(Prayer to Saint Peregrine/Pellegrino, Patron of cancer sufferers)

O great Saint Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. 

Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you. (Pause here, and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying.) Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow Your healing hand to heal me. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others. Touch my heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch my mind with Your wisdom, that my mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in my need, and help to lead others to You by my example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength. Touch gently this life which You have created, now and forever. Amen.

(Prayer to Saint Dymphna, – Patron of mental disorder sufferers) 

Good Saint Dymphna, great wonder worker in every affliction of mind and body, I humbly implore your powerful intercession with Jesus through Mary for the Health of the Sick. (Mention your particular need now) Saint Dymphna, the martyr of purity, patroness of those who suffer with nervous and mental afflictions, beloved child of Jesus and Mary, pray to Them for me, and obtain my request. Saint Dymphna, Virgin and Martyr, pray for us.

Almighty and Everlasting God, the eternal salvation of those who believe in You, hear us on behalf of Your servants who are sick, for whom we humbly beg the help of Your mercy, so that, being restored to health, they may render thanks to You in Your Church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Loving God, Healer and Comforter, we pray for those who suffer from the anxiety, ambiguity and confusion of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Look with mercy upon their distress, confusion or isolation. Shelter them where dignity and peace abound. Grant them understanding helpers and the willingness to accept help. In the face of loss of memory and control, increase their confidence in your love and strengthen their caregivers. As the Good Shepherd, tend to the sick, rest the weary, pity the afflicted, soothe the suffering and bless the dying. We make this supplication through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, in the name of your Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

O God, our Father, mercifully hear our prayer as we venerate Your servant, Saint Lucy, for the light You gave her.

Shed Your light in our souls, O Lord, that we may be able to avoid evil, do good, and hate nothing so much as the blindness and darkness of evil and sin.

Relying on Your goodness, O God, we humbly ask You through the intercession of Saint Lucy, to strengthen our eyesight and protect us from any loss of vision.

May our eyes serve for Your greater honor and glory and the salvation of all, that we may come to enjoy together the unfailing light of the Lamb of God in Paradise.

O Saint Lucy, Virgin and Martyr, hear our prayer and obtain our petitions. Amen.

Dear Saint James, specially chosen to witness Jesus’ glory on Mount Tabor and His agony at Gethsemane, you are the patron of all who suffer with arthritis and rheumatism.

I ask you now to intercede for me before Our Lord, that in His mercy God might heal me of the symptoms and root causes of these illnesses.

Help all people to follow Christ as you did, to overcome all our difficulties, and to receive the crown of life in heaven. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Loving Father, You bring healing to the sick and make them well again. Trusting in Your great love and mercy, and believing that whatever I ask from You in the name of your Son, Jesus, You will grant me if it is what is best and in accordance with your Divine Will, I lift up to You (name of person) who is in need of healing of his heart disease.Hear my prayers and bring (name of person) into your loving presence.

Let the grace of Your divine love flow to the different parts of his body, reaching the inner recesses of his being. Touch his heart and all the areas afflicted with sickness and let his body organs function normally. Touch his blood vessels and arteries and let his blood flow properly. Bring healing to all his nerves, muscles and tissues, especially those surrounding his heart. Console him, ease his pain and suffering and restore him to full health in body, mind and spirit.

May he find hope in his suffering and offer it as a share in your own passion. Create a new heart in him and renew his life, loving Father. And after he has been healed, may he be a witness of Your healing power and love and bring glory, honor and praise to You. All these we pray in Jesus’ name through Mary with all the angels and saints.Amen.

O God, deliver us through the intercession of Your holy bishop and martyr Blaise, from all evils of soul and body, and especially from all ills of the throat.

O Lord, grant us the grace to make a good confession in the confident hope of obtaining Your pardon, and ever to praise with worthy lips Your most holy name.

Through the merits of Saint Blaise‘s suffering and martyrdom, we also pray that all who are suffering be healed by God’s unconditional love and boundless mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
