Prayers

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.  Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.  I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.  Never permit me to be separated from You.  Amen.

Dear Lord, may I receive You in this Communion with open arms, and a loving, contrite heart, so that I may be filled with Your grace, for my good and Your glory! Mary, my mother, pray to Jesus for me. All you holy Angels and Saints, pray for me. My dear Guardian Angel, lead me to the altar of God. Amen.

O Lord, my God and Savior, who,
as Thou didst endure for our salvation
the outrages of those who crucified Thee,
so now deigns to bear with those
who by careless or unworthy Communions
approach and touch Thee,
not discerning Thee,
and endures all irreverence
rather than withhold Thy sacred Presence from our Altars:
I bewail these indignities,
and most earnestly desire to prevent,
to the utmost of my power,
whatever thus still grieves Thee.
I beseech Thee,
accept this sorrow and this desire as the only offering
I can make in reparation for such great dishonor.
O Lord, increase my faith,
and preserve me from the least profanation
of this adorable Mystery,
and kindle in me and in the hearts of all Thy people,
especially of all who celebrate or assist in its ministration,
such reverence and devotion
that Thy most holy name may more and more be honored
and glorified in this Sacrament.
Amen.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from Christ’s side, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds, hide me.
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee.
From the malicious enemy, defend me.
In the hour of my death, call me.
And bid me come unto Thee,
that I may praise Thee with Thy saints
and with Thy angels
forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus, I believe that I have received Your flesh to eat and Your Blood to drink, because You have said it, and Your word is true. Jesus, my God, I adore You, because from Your hands I came and with You I am to be happy forever.

Jesus, I love You. I love You with all my heart. You know that I love You, and I wish to love You daily more and more. Jesus, my Lord, I thank You, I thank You with all my heart. How good, how kind You are to me, Lord Jesus. Blessed be Jesus in this most Holy Sacrament.

O Jesus, receive my poor offering. Jesus, You have given Yourself to me, now let me give myself to You.

I give You my body that I may be chaste and pure.
I give You my soul, that I may be free from sin.
I give You my heart, that I may always love You.
I give You every breath that I shall breathe, and especially my last.
I give myself in life and in death, that I may be with You for ever and ever. Amen.

My Jesus, I love and adore You. You have come to me; I am one with You. I want You to remain with me forever, in this life and in the next. Thank You for allowing me to share Your divine life. May I become more like You through this sacred Food. Let me never take You for granted, but always pray for those whose lives are dark with sin, ignorance, and selfishness. Each day, I can become more like You, O Lord. And, each day, I can pray for those who have never heard the Gospel, or who have heard it and rejected it. Amen.
