Most holy apostle Saint Jude,
faithful servant and friend of Jesus,
the Church honors and invokes you universally,
as the patron of hopeless cases,
of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me; I am so helpless and alone.

Make use, I implore you,
of that particular privilege,
to bring visible and speedy help
where help is almost despaired of.

Come to my assistance in this great need
that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven
in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly–

to be ever mindful of this great favor,

Saint Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find _____, that has been lost. Dear Angel at my side, my good and loyal friend, you have been with me since the moment I was born. You are my own personal guardian, given me by God as my guide and protector, and you will stay with me till I die. He who created you and me gave me to you as your particular charge. You assisted in great joy at my baptism, when I became part of the Mystical Body of Christ, and was made a member of the household of God and an heir of heaven. You saw the dangers that beset my path, and, if I sinned, it was in spite of you. You envied me when Christ came to me in Holy Communion. Even though you probably were there among the angels that adored Him the night that He was born, you have not been able to receive Him as I can. O, help me to appreciate these gifts! Help me to realize, as you do, with every fiber of my being, that to serve Christ is to be a king! Help me steadfastly to avoid evil, do good, and always guard my soul from sin. Protect me as well from physical evils as I go about my daily work. You will be with me all my life and at the hour of my death. Help me to face death bravely, patiently, with great love of God, knowing that it is only through death that I can come to Him in heaven! Then, come with me to my Judge, and when the hour of my salvation comes, take me home to my Father, God. Amen.

Guardian Angel, watch over those whose names you can read in my heart. Guard over them with every care, and make their way easy and their labors fruitful. Dry their tears if they weep; sanctify their joys; raise their courage if they weaken; restore their hope if they lose heart, their health if they are ill, truth if they err, repentance if they fail.

Bless the Lord, all you His Angels! You who are Mighty in strength and do His will. Intercede for me at the throne of God and by your unceasing watchfulness, protect me in every danger of soul and body. Obtain for me the grace of final perseverance, so that after this life I may be admitted to your glorious company and may sing with you the praises of God for all eternity.

O, all you holy Angels and Archangels, Thrones and Dominions, Principalities and Powers, and Virtues of heaven, Cherubim and Seraphim, and especially you, my dear Guardian Angel, intercede for me and obtain for me the special favor I now ask. (State your intention here, and pray 9 Our Fathers)

Be with me, O mighty Prince, that I may courageously fight and wholly vanquish that proud spirit, whom thou hast, by the Divine Power, so gloriously overthrown, and whom our powerful King, Jesus Christ, has, in our nature, so completely overcome; to the end that having triumphed over the enemy of my salvation, I may with thee and the holy angels, praise the clemency of God who, having refused mercy to the rebellious angels after their fall, has granted repentance and forgiveness to fallen man. Remember, O Most Chaste Spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, my spiritual father, and beg your protection. O Foster Father of the Redeemer, despise not my petitions, but in your goodness hear and answer me. Amen.

O my beloved Saint Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from occasions of sin; obtain for me purity of body, mind and soul. Through thy intercession, grant me a spirit of sacrifice, humility, self-denial, a burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and a sweet, tender love for Mary, my mother. Saint Joseph, be with me living, be with me dying, and obtain for me a favorable judgment from Jesus, my merciful Savior. Amen.

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so prompt, so strong, before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss his fine head for me and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

O Glorious Saint Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work in a spirit of penance for the expiation of my many sins; to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations; to work with thankfulness and joy, considering it an honor to employ and develop by means of labor the gifts received from God; to work with order, peace, moderation and patience, never shrinking from weariness and trials; to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self, keeping unceasingly before my eyes death and the account that I must give of time lost, talents unused, good omitted, and vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God.

All for Jesus, all through Mary, all after thy example, O Patriarch, Saint Joseph. Such shall be my watch-word in life and in death. Amen.

O St. Joseph, you are a man greatly favored by the Most High. The angel of the Lord appeared to you in dreams, while you slept, to warn you and guide you as you cared for the Holy Family. You were both silent and strong, a loyal and courageous protector.

Dear St. Joseph, as you rest in the Lord, confident of his absolute power and goodness, look upon me. Please take my need (mention your request) into your heart, dream of it, and present it to your Son. Help me then, good St. Joseph, to hear the voice of God, to arise, and act with love.  Through that charity which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood, and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities.

 O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ; O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence; O our most mighty protector, be kind to us and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness.

As once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril, so now protect God’s Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity; shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection, so that, supported by your example and your aid, we may be able to live piously, to die in holiness, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.

God, our Father and our Creator, You bestow on us gifts and talents to develop and use in accord with Your will. Grant to me, through the intercession of Saint Joseph the Worker, as model and guide, employment and work, that I may, with dignity, provide for those who depend on me for care and support. Grant me the opportunities to use my energy, talents, and abilities for the good of all, and the glory of Your name. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Most glorious Saint Joseph, blessed spouse of Mary, you who merited to be chosen as the guardian of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, and who, whilst embracing Him affectionately, did have a foretaste of the bliss of heaven, I beseech you, obtain for me full pardon of my sins and the grace of imitating your virtues, so that I may ever walk in the path that leads to eternal happiness. As you had the privilege of having Jesus and Mary by your deathbed, and in their arms did breathe forth your soul, I earnestly pray you to protect me from the enemies of my soul in that last moment, so that consoled by the sweet hope of Heaven, I may expire pronouncing the most Holy names of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Amen.

St. Michael, the Archangel! Glorious Prince, chief, and champion of the heavenly hosts; guardian of the souls of men; conqueror of the rebel angels! How beautiful art thou, in thy heaven-made armor. We love thee, dear Prince of Heaven!

We, thy happy clients, yearn to enjoy thy special protection. Obtain for us from God a share of thy sturdy courage; pray that we may have a strong and tender love for our Redeemer and, in every danger or temptation, be invincible against the enemy of our souls. O standard-bearer of our salvation! Be with us in our last moments, and when our souls quit this earthly exile, carry them safely to the judgment seat of Christ, and may Our Lord and Master bid thee bear us speedily to the kingdom of eternal bliss. Teach us ever to repeat the sublime cry: “Who is like unto God?” Amen.

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

O holy Guardian Angel, my dear friend and solicitous guide on the dangerous way of life, to thee be heartfelt thanks for the numberless benefits that have been granted me through thy love and goodness and for the powerful help by which thou hast preserved me from so many dangers and temptations. O Protector of Virgins, widows, and orphans, intervene in their spiritual and material needs. Patron of the dying, pray for all those who are going to die today. Obtain for us the grace of a happy death.

O Helper of the souls in purgatory, comfort them in their sufferings and through your powerful intercession help them to enter God’s presence.

Saint Joseph, our father, our guide, our protector, and our helper, strengthen us in our battle against evil and help us reach our eternal home. Amen.
