Joseph's Workshop
Nov-Dec ’24

Joseph’s Workshop by Julia Wade helps readers enjoy and experience the father-son relationship between Saint Joseph and Jesus. Published by Sophia Institute Press, the book is rich with illustrations by Matthew Bartula. It also comprises references to the Litany of Saint Joseph, which encourages the cultivation of a deeper love for Joseph and the Holy Family.

The story is an episode with Joseph, who is busy creating a surprise for little Jesus in his carpentry workshop. Saint Joseph is seen inside his workshop carefully using a plane, a stick, a saw, and a hammer. In this well-illustrated book, one could watch him carve, measure, drill, and shine the wood. Finely crafted rhythm and repetition make the book more friendly for young readers.
