Face of the Faceless is an Indian feature film on Blessed Rani Maria FCC, a religious sister who gave her life to uplift the marginalized community in Indore, a village in Central India. The film was released in Hindi, the Indian national language, and then dubbed in Malayalam (the Blessed nun’s mother tongue). It is currently available in French and Spanish also. Released in 2023, it has already received numerous awards from national and international film circles, including a place on the initial nomination list for the Academy Awards. Directed by Shaison P. Ouseph and produced by Sandra Dsouza Rana, the two-hour-long film portrays this saintly woman’s valiant fight against the injustices committed by the upper caste feudal community. As she gave her life in the process, true to her legacy, her family forgave the murderer, who eventually repented and sought forgiveness from the family.
