The Shores of Heaven by Fr. Joseph Gill
May-Jun '21

Set in ancient Rome, this novel is based on a true story. It traces the lives of four early Church martyrs. Though only a shadow of its former glory, Rome is still the capital of the world. Into this metropolis comes a lost and lonely boy, whose dark past and  uncertain future could lead to either tragedy or triumph. His journey takes him from the lowest pits of slavery to the promise of being the Emperor’s adopted son. Though he has all the riches and glories of the world in his grasp, his newfound faith in God promises him eternal life…though it may cost him everything to obtain it.

Based on the true story of St. Pancras, Sts. Nereus and Achilleus, and St. Domitilla, this story traces their lives, their struggles, and ultimately their triumph over death. Father Joseph Gill’s second novel, “The Shores of Heaven” is truly an entertaining read, uplifting and inspiring, perfect for adults and teens alike.
Available for purchase at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
